Last month, the Wible side of the family took a vacation to Montana. Mom, Dad, Lindsey, Greg, Wyn, Leigh, Doug, Darcy, and I were all there– Michael had to skip the trip to do his anesthesiology AI. I was the last to arrive, and this is what greeted me:
So happy to see my goofy sisters and brothers-in-law. They’re the best. And this was my view the next morning:
Later that day we took our first hike, on Sypes Canyon Trail. We took the babies in the jogger stroller… Not really knowing what we were getting ourselves into. Ha. We had to turn back after a mile or so.
No Wible family get-together is complete without a puzzle (this one courtesy of Mom Hermelin! Thank you!):
Early on in the trip we learned that not only is Darcy going to be a big sister– Wyn is going to be a big brother, too! These new babies will be even closer together– due dates are February 24th and March 7th. And we just learned a couple days ago that the Atkins baby is a boy!
^ Hope these new cousins have just as much fun together as their siblings do. ^
We took a tough hike sans-kiddos on the private trail of the house we stayed in a couple days into the trip– it was beautiful:
The forest fires to the west put a haze over everything, so we couldn’t see as far as one could normally. But there were still some gorgeous views.
We spent a lot of time entertaining babies:
Took a trip to Yellowstone!
We had to laugh at the Old Faithful selfies.
We didn’t see a bear at Yellowstone, but we DID see one at home the next day(!):
We did round two of hiking the Sypes Canyon Trail, this time hiking all the way to the top. Almost all of us got sick at one point or another on the trip, and Greg was sick for this hike, so he stayed home– Mom was on grandbaby duty (I don’t think she was too sad about that, though):
Apparently these were the last pictures I took on the trip, hanging out with Wyn on the porch one evening, waiting for dinner:
But we also ate a lot of food, played a lot of games, went to play at a splash park, and had SO many snuggles. I can’t wait to see these goons at Thanksgiving.
