Michael has been loving his elective anesthesiology rotation, which started on Monday. The anesthesiology specialty was a front-runner before this week, and after some solid experience it is still a top choice. We’re excited to start getting a clearer picture of our future together. It’s hard to believe residency will start in just a year and a half, and crazy to think that we have no idea where we will be living when that time comes. We have been talking about the future a lot around our house, and we’re so eager to see our lives unfold, a day at a time.
But in the meantime, we’re enjoying the here and now. The Christmas season is in full swing and I am LOVING it (if you couldn’t tell…). There is so much to enjoy and savor as the year comes to a close; as we celebrate Advent; as we look forward to precious time with friends and family.
We’re kicking off the weekend with a fancy holiday party tonight. I have to work both Saturday and Sunday, but that will give Michael time to study– he has a big important test at the end of each block of rotations. This one is over the surgery material (in other words: really, really hard). So if you think of him on Wednesday or next Friday, I know he’d appreciate your prayers.
Happy weekend to you all!
